Content Enhancement Organizers and Routines
(K-12) created by local teachers to provide a clear map of course
academic, behavioral, and group standards for their peers, students,
and parents; Unit Organizers and Maps (K-12) made by local teachers to
graphically plan sequential units clearly connected to the
course standards-meant to ensure opportunites to learn and
practice required concepts; Lesson Organizers (K-12) to
graphically display goals, instructional activities and
assessments--connecting all three; and Teaching Routines (Concept
Anchoring, Concept Mastery, Concept Comparison, and Framing) to help
students best meet the lesson standards;
- Performance
Assessment Packets (K-12) in science, social studies,
writing and math-all with scoring guides, student response forms,
and teacher directions. Each package is clearly aligned with the
Washington State Essential Academic Learnings;
- Information
about the Skagit Valley Network --a bit of history about
this wonderfully productive six year collaboration among all the
public schools in Washington's Skagit County.

Please
note that all the work created here was done by teachers chosen
from each participating district. These teachers are known for their
professionalism and dedication to improving student learning. Many
of the participants have worked over 15 years in their classrooms;
they are highly regarded. This work has been published here for
use by other teachers; feel free to print, borrow, or change anything
you find.
