The main components of Language Arts 7 are writing, reading, and communication. Writing focuses on the 6-traits (ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions) and the expository and persuasive modes. Reading includes the study of nonfiction texts, short stories, novels, and poetry. Communication includes working effectively in a group and presenting ideas to an audience.
