First grade math is about developing flexibility in approaching problems, fluency in using mathematical skills and proficiency in evaluating their solutions.

In this unit, students learn about the number system and number relationships, and they use this knowledge to solve a variety of addition and subtraction story problems.

Number combinations are about finding combinations of the number 10 and showing these combinations with pictures, words and equations.
