The focus of Title 1 Reading is to work with students who are below
grade level and struggling with some aspect of reading and writing. Time
is spent learning to decode words and make meaning from print. Some students
will also spend considerable time learning reading techniques in content areas.

need for improving reading skills.
Lesson One - Reading Fictional Text
Focus on identifying fiction text and constructing a framework to be
able to summarize their reading.
